Life Story

Born and raised in Louisiana to loving parents who knew the Lord, I cannot remember a time when we were absent from the church. I had two older brothers who paved the way for me when it came to being a good southern boy.

My life, in the early years, was both enjoyable and easy on some accounts. This reality came to a halt, though, when my mother was diagnosed with cancer. All the sudden I was faced with questions and hurt for which I was ill prepared.

It was sometime after this life-altering revelation that the Lord began beckoning me to Himself. I responded to this call by the Lord at a youth rally. It was no later than two years after my conversion that my mother’s cancer increased, and ultimately the Lord called her home. Having only been a believer for a short time, I began to wrestle with who God was and the nature of His character.

After graduation I attended LSU, where the Lord used many relationships and situations to break me of the long-standing hurt I carried from my mother’s death. I found much healing and restoration during this time. During college, I also worked at a summer camp and met my now wife, Christine.

It was in my time at LSU that I sensed the Lord’s call upon my life to full-time ministry. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be poured into by many brothers and sisters at The Ring Community Church, a place that was both pivotal and life-shaping in my walk with Christ.

Once I completed my studies at LSU, I moved to Dallas, where I was introduced to The Village Church. Christine and I were married in 2009 and began actively serving at the Dallas Northway campus.

During the past six years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve in various ministries and am humbled to now join the staff at The Village Church Flower Mound campus. I am overjoyed to partner with the local body for His glory.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope for The Village Church is that we would be a people marked by the gospel of Christ, who are serious about the ministry of reconciliation and discipleship for His glory. I pray we would be a people who fix our eyes upon Jesus as we pursue holiness while laying aside our sin, which clings closely.
