I was blessed to be raised by devoted Christian parents who made sure I was surrounded by things of God. My first encounter with Christ occurred at a very young age while living in Lagos, Nigeria. When I was 8 years old, I responded to the calling and surrendered my life to Christ. Later, at the age of 9, I was baptized at First Baptist Church in San Angelo, Texas.
It wasn’t until my senior year of high school, after a period of rebellious teenage activity, that I experienced a vivid taste of Christ. Twenty years later, Christ’s truths are still being revealed to me as I continue to learn the breadth of God’s love and the calling He has on my life.
I have been married to my wife, Elizabeth, for five years. We have a beautiful baby boy, born in December 2014. Elizabeth and I have surrounded ourselves with gospel-centered community here at The Village, which has allowed us to have an accurate expectation of what a godly marriage should look like. We continue to learn to work together as a team, as we keep growing in God’s trust.
As the Lord sanctifies me and grows my knowledge of Him, He also increases the desire and the opportunity for me to care for His people.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for The Village is that we equip our people so that they may flourish in their spiritual gifts.
