July 9, 2020
Last month, we began to communicate our phased plan for reopening and desire to resume in-person worship services with limited capacity on July 26. Just within the past few weeks, much has changed, and many parts of the country have seen a spike in new COVID-19 cases, including Texas.
But the weariness and frustration that many of us are experiencing in this entire situation serves to highlight the importance of the gospel and the fact that it continues to move forward, no matter what. We celebrated new life through birth, adoption, and baptism a few weekends ago and were encouraged by stories of our church body loving, serving, and caring for one another. We value the gospel message and understand the need to be flexible with our methodology. Information is ever-changing, and we will continue to make the best decisions we can with our in-person gatherings, knowing that plans can and do shift. We value the corporate gathering and we are eager to meet again when it is safe and responsible to do so.
We will update you next week with more details about our reopening plans, and we look forward to gathering again in the future. Until then, join us on Sundays at 10 a.m. for TVC at Home.
