TVC Responsibilities:
I recruit and develop Missions leaders, equip the saints in evangelism, and maximize the impact of our Global Missions sending process.
When and how did the Lord save you?
I first remember hearing, understanding, and believing the gospel in my late 20s. I was making my way in a successful career, but I still felt empty and far from God. My idea of God was vague and distant, and as the Lord was drawing me to Himself, I increasingly wanted to know Him personally and with specificity. One night, I cried out, “Jesus if you're real, I want to know you. I want to understand who you are.” Weeks later, a friend invited me to church, and I continued to go on my own.
I attended a small group class where the teacher used the word “gospel” several times. I thought he was referring to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. But then he unpacked it, explaining that in Jesus, God’s love for me was revealed, as He died for me and rose to reconcile me to God. When I heard that, my heart leapt, and every part of me declared, “That’s true!” I believed and began to follow Jesus.
