Life Story
I grew up in Wisconsin in a Christian home. I became a Christian at an early age and don't remember a time when I didn't understand that Jesus had come to save me from my sins. As a young girl, I genuinely loved the Lord and His Church.
Over the years I have grown and matured in my relationship with Him and have found the most profound seasons of growth have come in times of suffering—the death of my mom when I was 20, a season of unexpected job and career loss due to COVID, struggles in my marriage, etc. Through it all, the Lord has drawn close to me and made Himself known in such deep and tangible ways. I can't say I look forward to times of suffering, but I have learned to lean fully into God, surrender all my life to Him, and embrace each season He has sovereignly allowed me to walk through. He is always good and always in control. He is always trustworthy and faithful. He is my only hope in life and death, and my sustainer in all things.
I was married in 2014 and am blessed to be a mom to two, crazy boys. Through the discipling of my children, the Lord has grown a passion for family discipleship within me and a desire to advocate for age-appropriate, yet robust theology in Kids Ministry spaces. Moving to Texas in 2021, The Village Kids Ministry drew us to be members of TVC and it has been such a blessing ever since.
Hope for The Village Church
I hope we continue to hold our kids in high esteem and recognize the Holy Spirit’s ability to illuminate the youngest of hearts and minds. I hope the Church, both local and global, sees kids as the Lord does, not the future of the Church but a part of the Church today! I hope everyone who walks through our doors experiences the love I have found here—especially the lonely, sad, and hurting.
