Life Story

With great joy and desire, I received Jesus as Lord at the age of 7. Growing up, my idea of following Him meant being "perfect" and making sure everyone always saw my "perfect self." After high school, I remember talking with God and saying, "If trying to be perfect is all I am living for, I can't do this anymore. But if there is more to this, I need You to help me understand what Jesus has done."

By God's grace and mercy, I entered college at Texas A&M and was surrounded with a community of believers who challenged me to examine what I believed about Jesus. As I began to submit to Jesus and make Him King of my life, my heart began to change, and I started to experience freedom and joy.

After college, I moved to East Asia for a couple of years. This was the first time that I had been surrounded by millions of people who had never heard the saving grace of Jesus. My heart was overwhelmed by God's grace in my life, but it longed for those who have never heard. Then Matthew 9:37-38 came to mind, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” I returned from East Asia in 2014, and I have been training and equipping more laborers to be sent to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth!

Hope for The Village Church

My hope for The Village is that we would train and equip laborers to abide deeply in Jesus, proclaim the gospel and plant churches among those who have never heard the truths of Jesus!
