A native Texan, I was born and raised in Mansfield, Texas, and was very fortunate to grow up in a Christian home. My parents are two of the most loving and God-fearing people I know. From a young age, they taught my two brothers and me to love the Lord and to put our faith in Him.
When I was 8, I was baptized and became a Christian. However, when I was 13, I realized my “Christian” walk was not Christian at all and my 8-year-old intent behind baptism was a fear of going to hell rather than an attempt to trust in the Lord fully. Since then, I have turned from sinful ways and have become a fully devoted follower of Christ. Though I still fall short every day, it is an amazing feeling to know the extent of His grace and mercy.
I always loved art growing up but never thought I could make a living doing what I love until high school. I was blessed with the opportunity to take some design classes with teachers who pushed me to pursue my career in graphic design. The Lord graciously provided a graphic design job for me early on, so I was able to work my way through college.
I met my lovely lady, Nicole, after college and married her a short time later. Her love for our Father inspires me daily. After we married, we began attending The Village in Highland Village. I was blessed to work for several great design agencies in the Dallas area and add a sassy little miracle to our family, Ellie.
With a family at home and a long commute to and from work every day, God started speaking to my heart and letting me know I needed to begin to think about moving to a job closer to home. Soon after I accepted a job at The Village. I feel truly honored to be able to use my design ability to have a direct effect on His kingdom.
Hope for The Village Church
My hope for The Village is that we continue to follow the one true God and we continue to unapologetically spread His Word to the world in hopes of reaching the young and old.
